Mr. Ali, is the descendant of a family of owners of the oldest Turkish Coffee Shop on Socratous Str., at Rhodes. The cafe is dating back in 1780 and was once the centre of the coffee trade in the city. During winter time is nearly deserted with just a few accidental customers from time to time. During my winter visits I frequent there, having a double Turkish coffee and listening to Mr. Ali's stories.
