We are not likely to see these classic IOR yachts ever again. They were beautiful stately yachts fully equipped for world voyaging, raced for pleasure, no media coverage, no spectators unless they were in boats on the course - like I was.
I was shooting the race boats on the down wind leg and my sailboat which was my camera platform driven my my son, couldn't keep up and these boats reached the turning mark way ahead of me, so this was a very long shot with the M6 and I think a 90 mm lens, so I had to crop the scanned image so resolution is not so good, and I kept the image in the drawer. But this site was the encouragement I needed to show the image - so thanks for focussing on the picture content and not the technique!
Cheers to you all
